Patient Relations Coordinator

Job Description:

The Patient Relations Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the best care by coordinating treatment plans and verifying insurance benefits.  This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of insurance processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Verification: Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage for proposed treatments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Treatment Plan Coordination: Work closely with healthcare providers to develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance coverage, and any financial responsibilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all insurance verifications, patient interactions, and treatment plans.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies related to insurance coverage or treatment plans promptly and effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.

Job Requirement:

Education: Graduate/Undergraduate. Additional education or training in US healthcare administration, medical billing, or customer service is preferred.

Experience: 1 to 2 years prior experience in international call center, customer service or healthcare billing role, with demonstrated proficiency in phone communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
